Style

I paint intuitively with acrylics on canvas, blending occasionally with pastels. I love to use golds, silvers, and metallic highlights that catch the light, add depth and luminosity and captivate the viewer’s eye. My focus is on light and colour; I aim to create visual depth and movement in my paintings. My work always feels refreshing and experimental, and I only ever paint things that I feel truly inspired by, -predominantly nature. Each piece is distilled to the parts that I feel create a strong image with beauty and emotional significance. I often use photographs to assist (and find these to be an exceptional tool with commissions) in order to add more detail where and when the painting warrants it.
